1. Get creative at a dreamcatcher workshop

The skies at La Mer are set to light up with a stunning fireworks display this Sunday. As part of the beachfront destinations Saudi National Day celebrations, the one-of-a-kind fireworks display will illuminate the skies synchronized to music. The show starts at 8.30pm

2. Dine for less at some top restaurants

Jumeirah Restaurant Week returns this week for another week-long foodie fiesta from Sunday September, 23 to Saturday September, 29.This time around, it will have 24 restaurants across the Jumeirah hotels in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi and Madinat Jumeirah taking part, offering signature set menus and buffets for a fraction of the usual price of their menus. Priced at Dhs150, Dhs250 or Dhs350, they cover a variety of cuisines from Spanish and seafood to Asian and American.

Monday September 24

3. Head to a dinner party

Japanese hotspot Ramusake have just launched a brand new Monday sushi deal. Priced at Dhs250 per person, guests can tuck into unlimited sushi rolls as well as unlimited sake for three hours kicking off at 7pm until 10pm. On the menu, expect a range of sushi dishes, from the crab-based California and Spider rolls, to spicy tuna and seared salmon.

4. Head to a lip sync battle ladies’ night

Not quite got the confidence (or voice) for karaoke? Well this new ladies’ night at PizzaExpress Live might just be for you. Taking place every Tuesday, the Business Bay venue opens the stage for everyone to take part in a huge lip sync battle, judged by resident DJ Jasmine. Plus, there ladies’ night offer runs all night, offering unlimited wine and 25 per cent off the food bill

5. Find your zen with full moon beach yoga

Expert yogi Digvijay Singh is hosting a full moon yoga class at Sofitel The Palm on Tuesday September 25. The 90-minute class is open to all levels, and begins with a meditational walk from 7.25pm, followed by a yoga and meditation session.

6. Celebrate Oktoberfest with a limited-edition menu

Oktoberfest makes its way to The Tap House on The Palm from Saturday September 22 until the Sunday October 7. The beachfront gastro pub has introduced a limited edition Oktoberfest menu for Dhs79, alongside beverage deals which include a pitcher of Paulaner for Dhs99 or the choice of a bucket of five beers (Hofbräu Weissbier or Erdinger Weissbräu) for Dhs175.

Wednesday September 26

7. Catch a rap star at 40 Kong

LUV Events take over the trendy rooftop bar 40 Kong for their weekly ladies’ night every Wednesday, and this week they’ll be joined by a special guest, as rapper American rapper Ace Hood heads to town for a live PA. Ladies can enjoy free drinks from 9pm until 12am ahead of the performance.

8. Celebrate an Asian restaurants birthday with a party brunch

Kitsch Asian restaurant in the Taj Hotel Miss Tess is turning one, with a special birthday edition of their Wednesday evening party brunch. The larger than life brunch will begin at 6pm with two complimentary drinks for ladies and happy hour for guys. Then, it’s a three hour brunch from 8pm to 11pm offering gigantic sushi, bottomless noodles and super sized desserts, served up by karate-kicking waiters, break dancing samurai warriors or even Mario and Luigi.
