Sponsored: Expect buy one get one free bottles, wine-based ice pops and specially themed spritzers all September…

Grape-based beverage fans, free up your calendar this September. Popular Marina eatery The Scene by Simon Rimmer has launched a month-long ‘Vinefest’.

Celebrating all things grape-based, there’s more than 25 bottles of grape and bubbles on offer at their indoor garden, which has turned into a pop-up vineyard this month.

Bottles start from Dhs199, with a mid range bottle priced at Dhs250, and the premium range priced at Dhs350.

You’ll be able to bag yourself a bargain for a top bottle of plonk, with selected Dhs350 wines buy one get one free. Half price wine sounds like a good reason to spend twice as long at the pub garden to us…

But what’s wine without cheese? A specially themed menu of perfect wine pairings is also on offer – from cheese boards for those looking for a hearty snack, to oysters or pots of mussels for pairing with lighter wines and prosecco.

While the temperatures are still sky high, why not check out their limited-edition spritzers? Ranging from zesty grapefruit to a refreshing cucumber cooler, these colourful cocktails will be priced at Dhs35 throughout the festival. Or, opt for a spritzer teapot to share for Dhs120 – perfect for when you’re looking to switch up your cuppa and a catch up ritual.

Be sure you don’t leave without wine-ding down with a vinepop – The Scene’s grape based ice pop. They’re a bargain Dhs20 each, or get four for Dhs60. Just don’t blame us for the brain freeze…

The festival will draw to a close with Simon’s Gin-asium next month. Whether you like to keep it classic with a G&T or prefer to throw your junipers into a crafted cocktail, keep an eye (or ear) out for the musical ring of the gin trolley, which will serve up craft gins without you having to move a muscle.
