2. Cool off at a new beach club
JBR now has a brand new slice of sleek beachfront sunbathing with the introduction of a brand new beach club. Wavebreaker Beach Club can be found on the beachfront of the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, and extends from the Wavebreaker Beach Bar & Grill right to the oceanfront. The family-friendly beach club operates on a fully licensed private beach, which will also facilitate volleyball, beach soccer and a variety of watersports for those after a little more adventure.

3. Get your hands on a free coffee

4. Sample your way around a gin festival
A month-long gin festival has arrived at Dubai Marina’s The Scene by Simon Rimmer. Aptly named Simon’s Gin-asium, the month-long celebrations will feature a limited edition of special cocktails, unique, homemade gin infusions, gin-inspired bites and even a gin trolley where you can pimp your G&T.

6. See an Oscar-winning musical
Broadway Entertainment Group will be bringing Ghost: The Musical to Dubai for the first time this month. The iconic show will run for five days from October 9 to 13 at Dubai Opera. The Oscar-winning musical, based on the iconic 90s film starring Demi Moore (Molly) and the late Patrick Swayze (Sam), tells the tale of a young couple in love which quickly turns into tragedy as Sam is murdered, leaving his beloved wife Molly alone, in despair and utterly lost.

7. Exchange a drink for a cucumber

8. Dine at the hands of a celebrity chef
