1. Take the kids for a free kick about at a top academy

City Football Schools by Manchester City FC will be launching in Dubai, and to celebrate, they’re holding free sessions for youngsters aged three to 16 all this week until Thursday. The sessions will take place each day from 4.30pm to 8.30pm at their new home, Brighton Collage Dubai, and are a great opportunity for aspiring players to get a taste of what it’s like to be a City player.

2. Enjoy a half price dinner at a celebrity chef restaurant

The restaurant alongside Jebel Ali’s licensed cinema by celebrity chef Guy Fieri has launched a new Monday deal, where guests can enjoy a 50 per cent discount off their bill every Monday. It’s valid on both food and drink.

3. Tuck into a value curry night

4. Check out a new street art exhibition

To help the gallery continue to celebrate their major 10-year milestone, DIFC’s Opera Gallery Dubai has brought a new graffiti-inspired exhibition to their walls called Urban Poetry. Displaying artists have been inspired by the likes of Banksy and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and each piece represents a unique way of thinking about the world and the society that was lived through.

5. Enjoy a wine flight at a cosy french spot

6. See a Bollywood musical at Dubai Opera

Dubai Opera is set to welcome its first Bollywood musical this week. Taj Express is a dance theatre extravaganza from acclaimed choreographers Vaibhavi and Shruti Merchant, who will bring the kaleidoscopic colours of India to Dubai in a stunning musical featuring hit songs from Bollywood blockbusters.

Wednesday October 17

7. See an al fresco film poolside

JBR beach club Azure Beach has announced it’s launching a weekly movie night. ‘Sea-nema Nights’ will take place every Wednesday throughout October on the lawn of the beach club at Rixos Premium Dubai. This week, they’ll be showing the first Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

8. Step inside a swanky members club

DIFC Members club Socialista has been notoriously impossible to get into if you’re not a member. But that’s set to change as the upscale lounge is set to open to the public for a brand new night. Taking place every Wednesday, Havana Society is inspired by pre-revolution Habaneros, and promises live music and Latin entertainment each week.
