Kizmet promises cozy interiors, personalized service and affordable dishes…

Catching a show at Dubai Opera this month? You’ll soon have a new pre-dinner option to check out as a new restaurant is set to open its doors at the iconic building.

Called Kizmet, the two-storey space promises “a cool comfortable well-lit space with small plates and a focus on a neighborhood feel” when it opens this November.

Brought to you by the team behind Baker & Spice, the menu promises a little bit of everything, focusing on affordable dishes cooked in traditional ways, inspired by the cultural melting pot of Dubai.

The brand has teased of “cool kitchen takeovers and pop-ups” and whatever that means, we’re suitably intrigued.

The restaurant will open from midday each day, and promises a no-frills approach to its international menu. There’s no dress code, no complicated booking system and no high-intensity service standards, so we’re already big fans.

The laid-back new restaurant joins brasserie Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera and intimate traditional Japanese restaurant Kohantei in calling Dubai Opera home.

We can’t wait to check it out…
