JBR is set to transform into a carnival-themed destination this November with the return of the ever-popular #WOWJBR.

Running from Thursday November 15 until the end of the month, each weekend will adopt a different theme, with plenty of family-friendly activities and entertainment.

Three weekends of carnival fun will kick off this weekend with ‘Latin Nights’, where Latin and Capoeira dancers will take to the streets, African drummers and stilt walkers will perform across JBR, and a live mariachi band will belt out some classic hits.

Then from November 22 to 24, the circus comes to JBR. Expect to mingle among daring acrobats and unicyclists, watch a master juggler at work, and also witness a special show inspired by ‘The Greatest Showman’.

New this year will also be ‘Movies Come to Life’, an outdoor cinema screening experience that will have best-loved characters roaming around and interacting with visitors. It kicks off with a Cartoon Network Series at 4pm on November 29, followed by Jurassic Park 1 at 7pm.

A dedicated children’s zone is also on hand to keep the little ones busy, while a stroll along the JBR promenade will give guests the opportunity to take fun selfies at the photo wall, compete for prizes at a larger than life Rubik’s Cube, and marvel at some new interactive installations.

There’s more to look forward to in the coming months too. The #WOWJBR festivities will run for a total of 20 weeks, with each month dedicated to a unique theme. After the carnival theme in November, there will be a festive theme in December, while January will focus on nature and well being with a ‘Mind and Soul’ theme.

The International theme that takes place in February will overlap with Chinese New Year where JBR will be home to traditional East Asian practices, such as tai chi and the much-loved dragon dance. It will then finish up with ‘The Arts’ in March, where guests will be able to explore installations, roaming art displays and a world food festival.

#WOWJBR, The Walk at JBR, November 15 until March 31.
