Burn The Stage: The Movie will be shown in Vox and Novo Cinemas for four days only…

It’s been a massive year for K-pop fans in the UAE. In January, EXO became the first ever K-pop band to have a song used for Dubai Fountain performance. Then in April, a massive K-pop concert featuring 35 artists, SMTOWN Live, took over Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena.

But the year is not over yet, and if you can’t get enough of the precisely choreographed dance routines and directional hairstyles, then you’ll want to head along to Vox or Novo Cinemas this weekend.

Both cinemas are screening the first feature film by K-pop supergroup BTS, Burn the Stage: The Movie. The documentary goes behind the scenes of the band’s 2017 Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour. That tour drew more than 550,000 fans across 40 concerts in 19 cities around the world.

BTS, who made their debut in 2013, is arguably the most successful band in the world right now. Their 2018 album, Love Yourself: Tear debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart – the first ever K-pop album to top the chart. It was also the first primarily foreign-language No. 1 album in over 12 years, according to Billboard.

The record-breaking band were named the most tweeted-about celebrities in 2017, thanks to their army of 17 million followers. They’ve collaborated with some big names in the music biz, including Steve Aoki, Nicki Minaj, and Fall Out Boy.

Just last month, Time magazine featured BTS on the cover of their global edition, naming them among their “next generation leaders”.

Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just want to see what all the fuss is about, Burn The Stage: The Movie is our one to watch this weekend. It will be screening at both cinemas from November 15 to November 18.

Burn The Stage: The Movie, from November 15, limited release only. More info on the Vox and Novo websites.
