With two long weekends coming up in the UAE, Ras Al Khaimah is a great option for a staycation. And whether you’re dreaming of a beach getaway or a desert escape, The Ritz-Carlton has got you covered.

The luxury hotel brand has not one, but two five-star properties in Ras Al Khaimah. You can stay in the heart of a secluded nature reserve at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, or relax by the sea in a beachfront villa at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hambra Beach.

It’s the perfect time to visit, as both hotels have just launched a host of new dining and leisure experiences for the cooler months.

Craving some beach vibes? Then you’ll want to know about the new Barefoot Brunch at Shorehouse at Al Hambra Beach.

Every Friday from 1pm to 4pm, the poolside restaurant transforms into an island-inspired brunch destination, with live stations and seafood areas featuring fresh oysters, sushi and sashimi.

The brunch costs Dhs250 per person including soft drinks, Dhs350 including house beverages and bubbly, and Dhs450 including premium beverages and bubbly. From 4pm to 6pm, you can also pay an additional Dhs100 to enjoy two hours of after-brunch sundowners.

Looking to really relax? Then make sure to join the resort’s signature sunset yoga sessions, which take place at one of a number of vantage points overlooking the ocean. Led by the in-house yogi, the class is 60 minutes long, and costs Dhs75 per person.

Meanwhile, Al Wadi Desert has relaunched its iconic Farmhouse night brunch – the only evening brunch in the emirate.

You’ll dine beneath the stars in the heart of the desert, enjoying authentic local produce served family-style, accompanied by a smooth jazz saxophone performance.

The night brunch takes place every Thursday from 6pm to 11pm, and costs Dhs325 for the soft package, or Dhs450 with house beverages.

Also be sure to check out The Moon Bar – overlooking the stunning desert sandscape, this rooftop bar is the perfect spot for sundowners. Plus, ladies can enter holiday mode early, with ladies’ night every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm, and two free glasses of bubbly and bespoke canapes on offer.

Desert vs beach – which one do you choose? For more information on both, visit The Ritz-Carlton website, or follow The Ritz-Carlton on Facebook and Instagram.
