UAE petrol prices are going down in December

The cost of diesel has also decreased…

For the final month of the year, all fuel prices will be significantly decreased. In December, drivers can expect to pay Dhs2.25 per litre for Super 98, down from Dhs2.57 in November. Special 95 will cost Dhs2.15 per litre, reduced by 31 fils from Dhs2.46 last month. Diesel will also be cheaper this month than last, priced at Dhs2.61 per litre for December.

All prices include the VAT rate of 5 per cent.

The UAE’s Ministry of Energy first began setting fuel prices based on average global prices in August 2015. Before that, the price of petrol in the UAE was subsidised by the government, which shielded consumers from global fluctuations in the cost of petrol.
