1. Celebrate Burns Night with some traditional Scottish grub

2. Swim your way to your fitness goal

 

Swimming Lessons held by Speedo Swim Squad at the Burj Club is the perfect opportunity for you to enjoy a variety of classes from Baby Swim, for 3 months to 3 year olds, all the way to adult swim lessons. Classes are held at various timings, with prices starting at Dhs 90 per session.

3. Try the new menu at Pizza Express

 

For all the foodies out there, the new menu at Pizza express is being launched on Monday January 21, and it’s filled with alternative dishes such as the brand-new cauliflower base pizza alongside gluten free, whole wheat and regular dough bases. Halloumi cheese is a big feature in the new menu too, with it appearing as a starter, salad and even a pizza.

4. See a film alfresco

 

On Monday January 21, Garden on 8 will be hosting a movie night showing Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels on benches and bean bags with deals on beers and complimentary popcorn from 8pm. These movie nights will come up again in February and March, so keep an eye out for them.

5. See a Brit star live

George Ezra is set to bring his soulful vocals to Dubai for the very first time this January. The English singer-songwriter, best known for hits like Budapest and Blame It On Me, will take to the stage at Dubai World Trade Centre on January 22.

6. Listen to some live music at a new ladies’ night

 

So popular is Soho Garden’s Wednesday ladies’ night, they’ve introduced a second – slightly more laid back version – every Tuesday. 8. Test your knowledge at a quiz night

Radio personality Tom Urquhart is launching a new quiz night this Wednesday January 9 at beachfront gastropub, The Tap House. Covering everything from music to ‘fake news’, the quiz will run from 8pm every other wednesday. The free-entry quiz is designed for teams of three to six people, plus the first five teams to sign up will bag themselves a free bucket of beers or bottle of wine.
