Sponsored: Perfect if you’re looking for something free to do this weekend…

We all love a reason to get outside with friends and family during the winter months and luckily #WOWJBR has brought back an incredible event that everyone will enjoy.

If you love going to see live music, then you need to get down to Street Beats in JBR this week. The second edition of the huge festival is spread out over five epic open-air stages, with 55 talented artists from 20 countries sharing their music with Dubai.

The fun, free festival is the ultimate place to enjoy some winter sunshine, hours of musical talent and incredible live entertainment. If you attended Street Beats last year, you’ll know it’s a great event to spot homegrown and emerging stars such as the first Emirati Rocker, Ray.

There’s something for everyone, with acts including the 2012 UAE beat box champion, Adam Baluch, 15-year-old international classical singer, Josephine Shaw and India’s first female bagpiper – known as The Snake Charmer.

You might even discover a few performers with more unusual ways of taking the stage, such as Walter Scalzone, a percussionist who uses a combination of unique visual effects within his shows or Cat Indigo, a duo that make music by combining the classical harp with the handpan.

This lively musical extravaganza is happening daily for the next 10 days, so make sure you don’t miss the chance to enjoy some spectacular local and international performers.
