A neighbourhood inspired by the famous New York City spot will be built in City Walk…

Ever dreamed of living in New York’s Central Park? Well that dream could be one step closer to reality in Dubai as master developer Meraas has unveiled plans to create Central Park in Dubai.

The new residential development will be found in City Walk, and is inspired by the original New York City address.

Spanning an impressive 230,000 square metres, Central Park at City Walk will include 12 terraced mid-rise residential buildings that will surround a lush 40,000 square metre private park. Tennis and basketball courts, swimming pools, spas, cafes and a huge multi-purpose play area will also be part of the extensive development

Although we’re not sure when the project will be completed, in its first phase, the residential complex will comprise 187 one- to four-bedroom units that overlook the park, a statement said.

The nature-inspired community will feature a large lobby with concierge and two large rooftop terraces either size, that will be covered in a variety of plants and flowers.

Located a mere two minutes from City Walk’s retail destination and the soon-to-open Dubai Arena, Central Park at City Walk will be a handy place to live for avid shoppers and concert goers.

City Walk is also set to become home to a budget-friendly Rove hotel, which was announced in December last year. The hotel is set to open in 2020.
