A chic beachfront feast that’s perfect for the warmer weather…

Sea Fu is probably the closest you can get to being on the beach without having your toes in the sand. The chic seafood restaurant in the Jumeirah Four Seasons is perched on the edge of a the resort, with a prime view that faces out to the beach.

On Saturday, it hosts its ‘Omakase Brunch’, a four hour feast of Asian-inspired seafood dishes designed to share.

There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, and although the indoor space is pleasant, we’d pick a table on the wooden decked terrace every time.

Brunch kicks off with a decadent gold shell brought round by the waiter, filled with fresh oysters served on a bed of ice. The seared tuna starters arrive in plentiful amounts, although they’re so good we order more. An “Okonomyaki Omlette” is another highlight, with each bite tasty and flavourful. Sushi rolls are fresh and again a generous portion that can be ordered as many times as the table requires.

Dessert is a real highlight. There’s a trio on offer which include a tasty raspberry, rich chocolate cake and are finished with the matcha mochi.

It’s more laid back and designed for an older, more casual crowd than some of its wilder party brunch counterparts, but it still feels likely thanks to a resident DJ that builds the beats as the afternoon goes on, and a live sax player who plays along to the hits being spun.
