1. Enjoy a Michelin standard breakfast

2. See the closing finale of a great activation

WOW JBR is coming to an end for this season and has a big line-up of free entertainment for the closing weekend. From Thursday March 14 to Saturday March 16, you can expect three days of music and dance. Perfect for all ages, the fun activation at JBR is the ultimate place to enjoy some winter sunshine and live entertainment.

3. Go for a dog walk

K9 Friends is a centre run solely by volunteers who give up their free time to carry out maintenance, care for the animals, and focus on re-homing the dogs to the right households. Animal-lovers who are unable to commit to adoption also have the option to foster a pup. Even if you only have a few hours to spare, you can offer to walk a dog from 10am to 5pm, Saturday to Thursday and give a canine a great day out.

4. Listen to some live music

The newly renovated terrace of Urban Bar and Kitchen holds live music performances every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening. Enjoy the lively outdoor setting whilst listening to the vocal talents of the UAE’s finest live musicians. This Thursday will see a performance from singer Lisa Dijkman before DJ Kam takes the decks to bring you into the weekend in style.

5. Feel the love generation

Get ready to re-live the best of the noughties as Bob Sinclar headlines Base Dubai on Thursday March 14. The French producer was behind some of the biggest hits of the early noughties including ‘World Hold On’, ‘Love Generation’ and ‘Rock This Party’. Best of all, it’s ladies’ night, so girls can enjoy complimentary drinks until 2am as well as a host of live entertainment, light shows and exciting performances.

6. Spend the day at a music festival

Live on the Lawns is a brand-new, free festival for families and friends of all ages to enjoy live music, food & licensed drinks stalls and pop-up market vendors. Go Play the World are providing the musical talent with Jay and Foe, Aman Sheriff, Red Around, Vandalye, ZeroDay and Jindi all on the line-up.

7. Take part in a female-focused summit

The Shero Summit is a female-focused health, fitness and wellness event, taking place over two days this weekend. Global health, fitness and wellness professionals will give seminars, workshops and workouts to support women of all ages, religion, culture and fitness levels, and build a community of strong empowered women. 8. Check out a long-anticipated new club

Mantis can be found in Emirates Financial Towers. The 8,500 square foot space boasts a state-of-the-art light and sound system, a central DJ booth with a dramatic mantis head on the front, and a long bar which runs almost all the way down one side of the lounge. Initially, Mantis will be open on Thursdays and Fridays, with more nights set to be introduced in the new year. The opening night will offer welcome cocktails to guests on arrival.

9. Dance under one million pieces of confetti

The latest Elrow event will have an ‘Enchanted Forest’ theme, and will see Dubai’s party-goers flock to Meydan to witness a seven-hour party kicking off at 9pm. The night will see performances from Eats Everything, Toni Varga, George Privatti, and local talents Jixo & Danz, Adam Graca, Mar+Mer, and Jean B. 10. Live it up at an epic birthday bash

11. Practice yoga with some familiar faces

Love Disney? Big yogi? Well, Dubai Miracle Garden is set to host a one-off yoga class in the gardens of the Disney Avenue this weekend. The class will take place at 9.30am on Saturday March 16 to the stunning backdrop of the giant floral Mickey Mouse and Friends structures. You’ll need to arrive plenty in advance though, as places are limited and will be given on a first come, first serve basis.

12. Add some ‘sparkle’ to your Saturday

13. Celebrate St Patrick’s Day

14. Attend a free self-care workshop

15. See a rap superstar perform

Catch Rick Ross at super club White Dubai on Saturday March 16.
