1. Take your mum to the movies

2. Snack on one of 1000 free burritos

Taqado Mexican Kitchen is opening its 19th UAE branch and will be giving away 1000 free burritos on March 31. 3. Test your general knowledge

The Big Fat Quiz at Lock Stock and Barrel Barsha Heights will make its return this week. Hosted by Big Rossi, the quiz will test your knowledge on music, sport, culture, history and useless trivia. Teams of up to six people can join forces in the hopes of winning some spectacular prizes. Starting from 9pm, the quiz will be followed by live music until late.

4. Meet a Michelin Starred chef

Pierre Gagnaire will be in Dubai this week to celebrate the first anniversary of Pierre’s Bistro & Bar. He will be around on Monday April 1 to meet with fans and launch the new springtime menu to the restaurant. The new menu allows every dish to be altered to suit vegetarian and vegan guests.

7. Pick up some affordable art

The fifth annual edition of World Art Dubai kicks off on April 3 and for four days you can pick up some affordable art pieces from 150 galleries and artists from more than 30 countries. Pieces start from around $100 and the collection includes classic, modern and abstract paintings, cubism pieces, mixed media works, sculptures, pop art and calligraphy.

8. Try to escape
