Dubai-based airline Emirates is set to launch a second daily flight to London Stansted from the summer. The new flight will operate daily from July 1, 2019 and is being introduced to meet increasing demand to the destination, Emirates said in a statement.

Emirates first introduced direct flights to London Stansted in June 2018, and will operate a total of 11 daily flights to the British capital once the new route launches in July.

As with the first, the second daily flight to Stansted will also be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Having two daily flights will also offer passengers the choice of a morning or afternoon flight to Stansted.

Beginning July 1, the first daily flight from Dubai to London Stansted will operate as EK65, departing Dubai at 9am and arriving in London Stansted at 1.30pm local time. The return flight, EK66 will depart London Stansted at 3pm and arrive in Dubai at 1.05am the following day.

The second daily flight from Dubai to London Stansted will operate as EK67, departing Dubai at 1.15pm and arriving in London Stansted at 6.45pm, local time. The return flight, EK68 will depart London Stansted at 9.10pm and arrive in Dubai at 7.10am the next morning.

Emirates second daily flight to London Stansted brings Emirates’ total weekly flights to the UK to 140, with six services a day from Heathrow, three daily from London Gatwick and Manchester, two daily from Birmingham, Glasgow and London Stansted, and a daily service from Newcastle and Edinburgh.
