We can see why…

In a new global index, the UAE has been ranked the eighth most positive country in the world.

The Positivity Index of Nations is a global report published by the Positive Economy Institute, and measures countries’ positive economy indicators. The index also looks at the positive behaviour of countries towards future generations’ interests and wellbeing, as well as countries’ positive impact on the global arena.

Published annually since 2013, this was the first year that the UAE was included in the report as a non-OECD country. The UAE ranked higher than 27 of the 34 OECD member countries including the UK, USA, France and Australia.

So how does the UAE rank so highly? Well, the country was recognised for its high levels of wellbeing, positive behaviour both nationally and globally, focus on future generations and preparing them for the future, developments in the education sector and its initiatives in achieving gender balance in various areas of life and work, according to state news agency, wam.

The UAE support towards global climate change efforts and the development of sustainable energy solutions also contributed to their high performance.

Since its first publication six years ago, the Positivity Index of Nations has measured the ability of countries to contribute positively – on a local and international scale – through three main dimensions: Educate and Finance Future Generations, Preparing Adequate Infrastructure for Future Generations and Building a Consensus for Future Generations.
