What’s On has details of the Burj Al Arab announcement that it will host wedding ceremonies on the world-famous helipad at the hotel, for Dhs200,000.

As spectacular wedding venues go, the helipad at Dubai’s famous Burj Al Arab Hotel is pretty hard to beat.

Roger Federer has played tennis on it, Tiger Woods has teed off from it, and now couples – albeit those with some serious cash to splash – can exchange vows on the helipad perched 212m above the Gulf.

For a starting price of Dhs200,000, the bride and groom can arrive at their lofty venue in an Italian twin engine Augusta 109. If they’d prefer to arrive by road, a sleek Rolls Royce Phantom will be at their service.

After the ceremony couples can spend their wedding night in one of the Burj Al Arab’s 202 luxuriously appointed suites.

The hotel’s wedding ‘architect’ will also take care of the bride and groom’s every need ahead of the big day, from private sessions with personal trainers at the Talise Spa, to shopping sessions with the Burj’s in-house stylist, to a specially created wedding day scent developed by a leading perfumist.

After-hours access to luxury fashion brands will ensure the bride’s trousseau is in perfect order, and the couple can also avail of exclusive access to the city’s top jewellers.

If the groom has two left feet, private lessons in dance and etiquette can be arranged at the sail-shaped hotel.

Couples also get private consultations with the executive chef, sommelier and florist at the Burj to plan the details of the day itself.

“We’re always looking for new and special ways to delight and enchant our guests. We believe a once-in-a-lifetime event deserves a one-of-a-kind venue and are thrilled to add this special location to our ultimate experience collection,” says Heinrich Morio, general manager of the Burj Al Arab.
