Here’s an event for all you petrolheads to get revved up about – Gulf Bike Week is coming back to Dubai. The Middle East’s only dedicated bike show will be staged at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre from October 30 to November 1, and promises to be better than ever.

Now in its sixth year and powered by the Discovery Channel, the exhibition for motorbike and music fans will feature numerous new additions to its line-up, including a brand new Live Action Arena. This will be the setting for some nail-biting biker tricks, games and displays, with Mike Brewer, presenter of the channel’s popular car show Wheeler Dealer, on hand to host all the action.

Motorcycle enthusiasts can also look forward to the annual Middle East Custom Bike Build Championships, which will be overseen by legendary industry judge Frank Sander.

Then there’s the Thunder Parade on October 31, where participating bikers from across the GCC take to the roads from Media City. Last year’s event saw over 1,000 bikers burning rubber around the city.

For the moments when you’d rather rock out than ride out, there’ll be two music stages: the Rock Stage, for the hardcore head-bangers, and the Festival Stage, for those who prefer their tunes a little more radio-friendly. Talented local acts such as Riff Raff, The Boxtones and Skreemin Egulz are all set to perform.

With all the motors, music and mayhem, Gulf Bike Week still makes for a surprisingly family friendly day out, with plenty of food, drink and entertainment to keep everyone happy. Tickets cost from just Dhs65 in advance or Dhs90 on the door and children under 12 go free.
