FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The décor at Omnia is genuinely unique. Green foliage dangles from the ceiling, the table-tops are made from frames containing mounted butterflies, and the walls are decorated with mosaic tiles and peacocks. Throw in wicker armchairs with enormous curved backs, and it’s a little like eating in a fancy conservatory.

VIBE
The tables were mostly occupied but the vibe was peaceful, with couples and groups of friends chatting quietly over plates of salad and mint tea.

WHAT TO ORDER
The raspberry ‘cheesecake’ is a thing of wonder: creamy, crumbly, tangy and delicious, despite containing absolutely no cheese. It’s one of a selection of raw, vegan-friendly desserts available at Omnia. From the salad counter, the sugar snap peas with avocado pesto are super fresh and flavourful.

LOOK OUT FOR
The breakfast menu, it includes celeb chef Silvena’s ‘childhood menemen’, inspired by the traditional Turkish dish of eggs, onion, tomatoes and green peppers.

IDEAL FOR
Casual catch up with friends or your own ‘me time’.

INSIDER INFO
Omnia Gourmet is just the start for Rowe – she’s also planning to open a fine dining restaurant on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Healthy food that is anything but bland.
