The line-up for the Dubai instalment of Sensation has been announced, and What’s On has all the information before anyone else.

The first ever outdoor edition of the world’s leading dance music event, which comes to Meydan Racecourse on October 31, will feature clubland’s hottest up-and-coming star Martin Garrix, as well as iconic American DJ Roger Sanchez.

Also on the bill are the event’s resident, Mr White, Russian duo Hard Rock Sofa, and Swedish pair AN21 (younger brother of Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angelo) and Max Vangeli.

Organisers have, since the first carnation of the event 14 years ago, hosted more than 100 indoor editions of Sensation, entertaining in excess of two million party-goers in 32 countries around the world. But Halloween’s shindig at Meydan sees it move to the open air for the first time, when the iconic sporting venue will be transformed into a carnival scene for 15,000 lucky revellers, all of whom must be dressed in white.

Alongside the music, the eight-hour ‘Source of Light’ show features remarkable stage performances from acrobats and actors, as well as state-of-the-art light-shows, lasers, fireworks, and even carnival floats through the crowds.

On the decks, Garrix, who earlier this year spent an entire month at the top of the Beatport chart with smash hit ‘Animals‘, was the youngest name on DJ Magzine’s Top 100 in 2014, making the industry-respected list at the age of just 17. His place was cemented following the stunning success of July 201 release ‘Animals’, described as a ‘scrupulously produced tech-trance track that belies the youngster’s relatively short stint in the production game’.

At the opposite end of the spectrum is Sanchez, the American who achieved worldwide recognition and mainstream success with 2001’s ‘Another Chance’. The Grammy-winner’s ‘Release Yourself’ podcasts and accompanying compilations on his own label, Stealth Records, have been a staple of any collection for more than a decade, while the man himself maintained an Ibiza residencies at some of the party island’s biggest clubs.

Also on the bill are Hard Rock Sofa. The pair – Alexander Shapovalov and Denis Chepikov – have worked alongside some of the best in the business during eight years on the rise, garnering support from Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta, to name two.

AN21 – real name Antoine Josefsson – and his partner in crime Vangeli released their debut album  ‘People Of The Night’ in 2012, and have carved out an enormously successful run as remixes artists, most notably with workings of Ellie Goulding’s ‘Starry Eyed’ and Pendulum’s ‘Islands’.

And as for Mr White, he has become synonymous with the parties, kicking things off and creating the perfect vibe with his subtle house and tech house grooves.

Sensation started in 2000 with a one-off event in the Netherlands’ Amsterdam ArenA, attended by 20,000 people. A year later audience figures doubled, and it has gone on to win awards for ‘best event of the year’ in countries including Holland, Germany, Australia, Brazil and Denmark.
