Two Canadians, a grumpy Englishman and a bloke with a guitar. No, this is not the start of a joke. It’s a description of the four huge stars who are coming to Dubai in March.

Canada is represented by Michael Bublé, the wildly successful singer whose voice was once memorably described as “like swimming in melted milk chocolate while having your hair stroked by a friendly bear”. We haven’t personally experienced such a feeling (one day, fingers crossed) but we imagine it’s pretty near the mark.

Once Bublé clears his locker at the Dubai International Stadium his compatriot Drake will move in. His hip hop swagger has made him a superstar and – according to him – will eventually see make overtake Kanye West.

Just as big in the stardom stakes is Ed Sheeran. We’ve charted his incredible and rapid rise to the top, and delved into his little black book to see who his celebrity mates are.

One man who probably doesn’t have too many celebrity pals is Jack Dee as he’s not exactly the type of guy to hang out in trendy bars exchanging witty small talk. The famously grumpy comedian saves his humour for the stage – and we can’t wait to see Jack deliver his acidic barbs with his scalpel sharp timing.

Away from this quartet of big gigs is the city’s annual cultural extravaganza, Art Dubai. This year is a record-breaker with more than 500 artists from 40 countries showing their skills. We’ll tell you what to see and where to see it.

Design Days Dubai is another slice of culture coming in March. We have a superb preview of the pieces that will be on display in Downtown, plus tips on how to buy something you love that won’t wipe out your bank account.

There’s good dance in Dubai this month in the form of Street Life, a high-energy show from internationally-renowned French performance company The Hey Crew that features jaw-dropping moves with a pop music soundtrack. For street theatre and comedy try the ten-day Dubfest festival at Al Ghurair Centre shopping mall in Deira.

We have new spa treatments and salons, fitness ideas, clubbing and cycling. And for foodies we’ve rounded up some lazy brunches and 17 cool new breakfasts to try. Yes, 17. That’s a lot of eggs.
