Our pick of the movies out in Dubai cinemas this week is The Finest Hours, an incredible true story about a daring sea rescue starring Chris Pine.

Here are all the flicks you’ll be able to go see from tomorrow…

THE FINEST HOURS

This film tells the true story of the US Coast Guard’s most daring rescue. It’s set during a legendary storm in 1952, when two oil tankers in the Atlantic were so battered by waves that they split in two. With his best boats already at sea, Officer Daniel Cluff (Eric Bana) is forced to cobble together a crew, led by the plucky Bernie Webber (Chris Pine) into a wooden motorboat on a death-defying mission. There’s plenty of heart and suspense in the old-fashioned adventure.

JANE GOT A GUN

Outlaw Bill (Noah Emmerich) returns to his wife Jane (Natalie Portman) riddled with bullets after being attacked by the notorious Bishop Boys. They won’t rest until they finish the job, so Jane asks her old flame Dan (Joel Edgerton) to help her defend her husband and her home. Ewan McGregor also stars as the devious Colin McCann. Hopefully this will be better than the last time him and Portman worked together – on those Star Wars prequels…

THE INTRUDERS

This creepy home invasion horror film toys with the audience by never letting us know whether what we’re seeing is supernatural or a byproduct of our heroine’s fevered imagination. It follows the story of Rose (Miranda Cosgrove), a young girl whose mother has died, as she tries to uncover the dark secrets of the spooky house she now lives in with her father.
