Seven types of street food, Dhs99 bottles of wine and Tokyo-style Neapolitan pizzas served until 3am…

Dubai Design District might not be on the foodie map just yet, but we reckon a brand new resto-bar is set to change that. Opening next week on Sunday April 22, Akiba Dori will bring seven types of Japanese street food to the area.

Opening on the corner of Building 8 in Dubai Design District, the foodhall-style restaurant and bar space is inspired by the backstreets of Akihabara in Japans capital city of Tokyo.

Laid out like seven separate unique storefronts, the venue will serve through from lunch to late night, with a range of  Japanese street food, baked goods and coffees on offer.

In the bar, you’ll also find a modern arcade room, as well as a range of Japanese beers and some great value bottles of wine priced at Dhs99.

The space is also home to a pizzeria named Tokypolitan, serving signature Tokyo-style Neapolitan pizzas baked in a wood fired oven in under 60 seconds. And with a license until 3am, we know where we’ll be picking up our late night pizza…
