However you like your eggs in the morning, get your fry-up fix at one of these spots…

We’re going to call it – there’s no better way to start your morning than with a hearty breakfast. And whether you like your eggs scrambled, poached, fried or boiled, we reckon they’re best served with all the trimmings.

So for your fry up fix, head to one of these six spots….

The Irish Village

Dubai’s stalwart Irish Village in Garhoud serves up a hearty full Irish breakfast every day from 7am to 11am. There are two sizes available; the mini village fry (Dhs60) and the full village fry (Dhs75), which come with a fried egg, bacon, sausages, hash browns, grilled tomato, black pudding, grilled tomato, mushrooms, baked beans, toast and tea or coffee. Delicious.

The Irish Village, Garhoud, Dubai, daily 7am to 11am, from Dhs60. Tel: (04) 2824750.

Fibber Magee’s

Tucked away on Sheikh Zayed Road you’ll find stalwart Irish pub, Fibber Magee’s. They serve up a breakfast daily from 8am to 11am, although if you ask very nicely, they’ll probably serve it after that too. It’s a hearty breakfast of sausage, bacon, mushrooms, beans, hash browns and eggs cooked as you like.

Fibber Magees, Sheikh Zayed Road, behind Saeed Tower 1, Dubai, daily 8am to 11am, Dhs61. Tel: (04) 3322400.

Pots, Pans and Boards

This unlicensed beachfront spot on JBR is helmed by chef Tom Aikens, who can often be found at his Dubai outpost. His breakfast menu is served from 8am to midday each day, although there’s a more limited all-day breakfast menu on offer until 6pm. As well as the full English, they also serve up breakfast classics such as eggs benedict, eggs Florentine and eggs royal.

Pots, Pans and Boards, The Beach, JBR, daily 8am to midday, Dhs82 . Tel: (04) 456 1959.

McGettigan’s Souk Madinat

The all-day breakfast is served up across all McGettigan’s outlets, but for the al fresco setting, we’re saying the Souk Madinat branch is our favourite. It’s a generous serving of two eggs any style, sausage, back bacon, black & white pudding, tomato, baked beans, flat cap mushroom, hash brown, toast and a choice of tea or coffee.

McGettigans Souk Madinat, Madinat Jumeirah, Al Sufouh, Dubai, Fri to Sun 9am onwards, Dhs60 regular, Dhs90 large, excluding VAT. Tel: (04) 4470219.

Reform takes their full English so seriously, it’s actually called the ‘Breakfast of Champions’. Priced at Dhs118, it’s a super-sized serving of all the best parts of a fry-up, with your choice of eggs. The Breakfast of Champions is only served up on weekends, but there’s a weekday breakfast menu featuring a full English for Dhs75.

Reform, The Lakes, Friday and Saturday 8am to 11.30am, Dhs75. Tel: (04) 454 2638.

Dhow & Anchor

Begin your weekend with breakfast at D&A and choose from a la carte options as well as a traditional full English breakfast with special bacon and sausage from Dingly Dell Farm. It’s Dhs95.

Dhow & Anchor, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, 9am to noon, Fridays and Saturdays, Dhs95. Tel: (04) 406 8720.
