Another week in Dubai is almost done and dusted. We’re already looking forward to the weekend, and you should be too with everything that’s going on. We’ve managed to find 15 of the very best things to do in Dubai, so you can have the best weekend ever.

1. Get free pad Thai

On Wednesday November 13 and Thursday November 14, Fuchsia Urban Thai is handing out pad Thai on the house. 2. Swing from the trees

Aventura Nature Adventure Park is offering free sessions in aid of Dubai Fitness Challenge on Thursday November 14. Book in advance for 9am, 1pm or 4pm to take on the challenges within the natural Ghaf trees forest. Can’t make it on Thursday? 3. Rave above the waves

On Thursday and Friday, Atlantis The Palm’s entertainment destination, Wavehouse is inviting you to rave above the waves. The one-off, two-day festival will see music from cover band Gorgeous George, as well as rockers The Boxtones. Guests are also welcome to enjoy a lavish barbecue spread (Dhs100) and complimentary use of the Surf’s Up rider.

4. Check out a neighbourhood hangout

Popular eatery LAH LAH are hosting a three-day festival from Thursday November 14 to Saturday November 16 in The Greens. LAH LAH FEST will include live performances from local DJs and a two-piece band and live singers. Thursday, November 14 will see pop-up bars and food trucks aplenty, offering guests a tempting selection of exciting treats to indulge in. Expect tasty dishes such as chicken yakitori, slow-cooked beef rendang and Singaporean noodles. There will also be DJ sets throughout the night to get the weekend started in style.

5. See 2/3 of Migos perform live

On Thursday November 14, stars of hip hop group Migos, Quavo and Takeoff will perform. Both musicians are artists in their own right, Quavo has collaborated with artists such as Madonna, Justin Bieber, Camilla Cabello, Travis Scott and Lil Wayne. Takeoff is best known for his hits Casper and Last Memory. We’re hoping that the pair will also perform some of Migos’ biggest tunes such as Bad and Boujee and Versace. Entrance and drinks will be free for ladies until 1am, whereas tickets for guys are priced at Dhs200, including two drinks.

6. The Unity Run is back

The annual Unity Run supports people of determination in an inclusive three kilometre fun run/walk or untimed 10 kilometre run. The heartwarming event aims to raise funds for Al Noor Training Centre for People of Determination, Senses Residential and Day Care Centre and Red Crescent. There’s also kids’ activities, entertainment, food trucks and the ARTE Marketplace.

7. See an Indian superstar live

Award-winning musician, Allah-Rakha Rahman, more commonly known as AR Rahman returns to Dubai on Friday, November 15, 2019 to perform at City Walk’s Coca-Cola Arena. The Indian music director is known as ‘the Mozart of Madras’ described by Time magazine as the world’s most prominent and prolific film composer. He is known for integrating Eastern classical music with electronic music sounds, world music genres and traditional orchestral arrangements.

8. Try a new evening brunch

If you prefer a long lie-in before your brunch then The Bungalow is here for you. Drunch on the Deck runs from 5pm to 8pm and offers unlimited beverages and platters of bites. 9. Sing along with Dua Lipa

Superstar singer Dua Lipa perform will perform at The Pointe on Friday November 15. Tickets to see the New Rules hitmaker live in Dubai are priced at Dhs250 for general admission and Dhs350 for fan pit access. With all tickets, visitors will get a Dhs100 credit to spend at a wide range of dining outlets at the waterfront destination on Palm Jumeirah. The event will kick off at 4pm, with a host of local opening acts taking to the stage before the grand performance from Dua Lipa at around 9pm.

10. Be served drinks by a robot

If you needed any more reassurance that Dubai is one of the most futuristic places on earth, head to Cavalli Club Dubai – where you can have your drinks mixed and served by a robot. The Italian-made bar, known as Toni and produced by Makr Shakr, is the first of its kind in the region. Using two robotic arms, drinks are poured, shaken and served before your eyes without any human interaction.

11. Take on the M1 Run

The M1 Run, a vertical race taking place at Media One Hotel, is returning on Saturday November 16. What will the challenge entail? A 1.2km run up the seven floors of the car parking space followed by a climb of 33 floors to the 42nd floor. It’s a great way to tone those lower body muscles and be part of a massive group effort. There’s four categories to choose from; 18-39 year olds, 40 plus (with a separate category for male and female) or you can opt for the team category if you fancy doing it with a group of friends. There’s loads of prizes up for grabs for the winning teams.

12. Race ekarts around The Dubai Mall

Ekart Zabeel is now open in The Dubai Mall Zabeel expansion. The thrilling experience will see riders race through the track on the latest generation of electric go karts, to see who can log the fastest time. Helmets and jumpsuits are provided to ensure maximum safety for riders, then its down to you to beat your fellow e-karters to the finish line. Prices start from Dhs95 for one session or Dhs175 for two, with group sessions available for team-building events and corporate parties. To take part in the experience, you don’t need prior driving experience, but must be at least 14 years old, 140 centimetres tall and weigh less than 120 kilograms.

13. Train with Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan

Bollywood superstar, Hrithik Roshan will be showing off his athletic prowess at two of Dubai’s Cult.fit studio gyms on Saturday, November 16. He’ll be at Cult at the Palm Strip Mall at 3.30pm where he’ll demonstrate his own cult HRX by Hrithik Roshan workout, which focuses on range of motion, full body strength, and core activation and answer any audience questions. He’ll then be at Cult Marina at 5pm, where he’ll take part in a dance fit party that you’re invited to join, so don your best gym gear and get down there to train with him. The Bollywood actor is famed for his dancing skills as well as screen presence so the two events are sure to excite his Dubai-based fans.

14. See a fantastic fireworks display

Dubai Fitness Challenge is finishing this weekend and is set to go out with a bang. So much so, that they’ve organised a free fireworks display to take place at Dubai Festival City. You’ll find it on Saturday November 16 at 7.15pm, just after the ever-popular IMAGINE show.

15. Enjoy yoga under the full moon

Stretch on the beach under a full moon with the moonlit yoga sessions at Fairmont The Palm. The 90-minute session will include 60 minutes of vinyasa flow yoga followed by 30 minutes of meditation. Melanie Swan will be the yoga instructor and the class is open to both men and women. Guests will be supplied with yoga mats, and will also take home a beauty hamper as the hotel is partnering with Ritual Cosmetics.
