At Mimi Kakushi, guests can enjoy tastes from around the orient at its weekly lunch event, Nouveau Orient. Between 12pm and 4pm, enjoy a special a la carte menu of tantalising Asian dishes, paired with the unmissable beats of a live DJ.

The Nouveau Orient menu aims to take guests on a journey through the region, with dishes such as black cod and prawn gyoza with a citrus miso sauce, beef tataki with yuzu daikon and truffle ponzu, as well as grilled sea bass with spicy honey and tamarind glaze. For a more indulgent dish guests can sample wagyu and foie gras with caviar or tako togarshi marinated octopus with Aa chive and yuzu glaze.

Not only is Mimi Kakushi loved by the What’s On team, the restaurant was also recently featured in the inaugural Michelin Guide Dubai. “With its exotic décor and sultry soundtrack, this trendy spot evokes 1920s Osaka, and offers a lively atmosphere as well as plenty of intimate corners. Good quality ingredients are used to create classic Japanese dishes with a contemporary twist,” the guide wrote about the restaurant.

Mixology fans will also be pleased to know that Mimi Kakushi has been named one of the World’s Best Bars, placing at an impressive 58 in the top 100 list.
