Best known for their cold-pressed juice cleanses, this company also offers a selection of Farmer boxes filled with local and organic produce. For those looking to detox, try one of the “juicing boxes” that come with all the veg you need (think kale, cucumbers, spinach, Swiss chard, carrots and celery) for a week’s worth of green juices made at home.
A staple at local pop-up markets here in the capital; this farm will deliver surprisingly good quality produce to your home. In addition to the fruit and veg this farm also sells raw milk, organic eggs, homemade jams and pickles, as well as free-range poultry.
While most meal delivery programmes are meant to keep you out of the kitchen, this one will have you putting on your apron and breaking out your pots and pans. Using produce from local supplier Go Organic ME, you’ll get a box of groceries (think Arabic courgette, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, lemons and potatoes plus staples like beans, youghurt and cheese) delivered to your door with a list of three to four recipes to make for dinner. Dishes on the menu include almond crusted roast chicken, chilli rubbed salmon with avocado salsa and a lentil and veggie shepherd’s pie. Vegetarian, paleo-friendly and gluten-free boxes are also available.
