Good news for cyclists in the capital.

There’s a new cycle path in Masdar City. The new Al Mamsha bike lane, which officially opened last week, is located in Masdar Park. Currently 2.6 kilometres long, the path is expected to be expanded in the future.

The news comes as the Cyacle bikeshare scheme grows in the capital.

Currently there are 11 stations to pick up and drop off bikes for hire in Abu Dhabi, but will expand to 50 stations in the future. What’s more, the number of bikes available to residents is set to jump from 75 to over 300 by the end of the month.

New locations for the scheme include Masdar City, the Corniche (there’s a station right in front of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority building), Saadiyat Island and Reem Island (you can grab a bike from a station set up opposite Boutik Mall, infront of residential tower ARC).

Cyacle will also add more stations to locations in Al Raha and Yas Island as well. For a full list of locations check out this link: secure.bikeshare.ae/map

It’ll only cost you Dhs20 to hire a bike for a full day and Dhs50 for three days. For more information visit: bikeshare.ae
