There’s a seven-hour window every day when parking is free…

Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport has announced the adjusted paid parking timings for the month of Ramadan.

Motorists will have to pay for parking from 9am until 2pm every day (except Fridays, which will be free all day as usual). In the evenings, parking will be paid from 9pm to 2.30am, except on Thursday, when parking will only be paid until midnight.

This means parking will be free every day between 2pm and 9pm.

The transport authority added that people attending Tarawih prayers will not have to pay the Mawaqif fees for the parking bays surrounding mosques during prayer times, provided they don’t block other vehicles or traffic flow.

Ramadan is expected to begin on Thursday, May 17 – we’ll let you know as soon as the official start date has been confirmed.
