The $100 million project will open on Yas Island at the start of next year…

Abu Dhabi’s brand new, $100 million (Dhs367,000,000) sports facility, CLYMB, is set to open its doors early next year, developer Miral has confirmed.

CLYMB, which was first announced in 2016, will bring the world’s widest flight chamber and tallest indoor climbing wall to Yas Island when it opens.

In an interview with Arabian Business, Miral CEO Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi said that he’s “very happy” with construction progress of the new sports facility.

“Our target is to open early next year,” Al Zaabi confirmed.

Offering direct access to neighbouring Yas Mall and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Clymb will be home to the world’s tallest indoor climbing wall, which will extend 43 metres in height.

In total, there will be four walls of varying difficulty, so whether you’re a first time climber or seasoned professional, there’ll be something for all abilities at the new facility.

Thrill seekers will also be able to mimic the experience of skydiving at the flight chamber, which boasts an unmatched width of 9.75 metres.

The facility will also be home to restaurants, shops and a space to host parties, according to the official website.

Clymb is one of several exciting new attractions in the pipeline in the UAE.

This summer, the Coca-Cola Arena will open its doors in Dubai’s City Walk, while later in the year, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will open the door to more than 4.5 million books in Al Jadaff.
