Fun-seekers in Abu Dhabi, listen up: A weekend-long water festival called Wipeout WKND, is coming to Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina on Friday October 11 and Saturday October 12.

As well as an adults-only event on the Friday, there’ll be a family-friendly Saturday event with loads of activities for kids and parents to get involved in.

The adults-only event will kick off from 4pm on the Friday, with the gardens outside Iris in Yas Marina transformed into a lush festival space boasting pop-up bars, live music, group games, some cool alfresco food stalls, oh, and a huge inflatable Total Wipeout style obstacle course on the water you can test your skills on.

For those who want to let off some steam (or release their inner child) alongside the Total Wipeout style course, there’ll be an extreme speed slide that goes straight into the marina, along with gladiator inflatable fighting and huge inflatable rollers. If you don’t fancy being that active, you can just splash around in the saltwater pool.

Running from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, there’ll be tons of activities for parents and children to get involved in like a mini SUP football tournament, games on the grass, fun pool times and massive colourful inflatables to keep the little ones entertained all day.

As with the previous day, there’ll be pop-up bars and food stalls aplenty when you need to refuel for your activities.

Yas Marina’s eight bars and restaurants will also be open, if you fancy more of a sit down meal with the family during or after the festival.

Ticket prices start from Dhs100 per adult per day and Dhs50 for children on Saturday only. Tickets are not yet on sale, but if you pre-register online you can take advantage of 50 percent off.
