It will also feature Abu Dhabi’s largest cinema screen…

Al Qana, the lifestyle and entertainment destination due to open in Abu Dhabi next year, will be home to a huge Cinemacity megaplex. Consisting of no less than 15 screens, Cinemacity Al Qana will include state-of-the-art custom-designed theatres.

In true UAE style, the complex includes a ‘Presidential Theatre’ for VVIPs, a luxurious lounge complete with high-end laser projection, Dolby ATMOS sound system, and its own butler service (of course). In addition, there will be three high-end VIP cinemas with dedicated private lounges, full recliners and in-seat dining service.

Included in the additional nine theatres will be a dedicated kids’ screen with comfortable and colourful seating as well as a private kids’ lounge. The cinema will play a host of family friendly movies as well as hosting birthday parties and events.

Cinemacity Al Qana also hopes to be a destination for events including film premieres, pop up concepts and cultural events. The complex, which features Abu Dhabi’s largest cinema screen, coming in at a huge 26 metres, aims to host the latest blockbuster screenings, with red carpet moments on the horizon.

Al Qana is located on the historic natural Khor Al Maqta, close to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and due to open in Q4 of 2020. The 2.4 kilometre stretch will include a range of additional attractions including the Middle East’s largest aquarium, a VR park, outdoor skatepark, as well as a range of dining outlets.

The destination promises to include landscaped community spaces that are aimed at encouraging social interaction within its seven key districts. Many of the features will be focused towards promoting a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle to improve the happiness of Abu Dhabi’s residents and tourists.
