What’s On has details of an Abu Dhabi concert Artscape, presented by the Abu Dhabi TCA, and inspired by exhibition A History of the World in 100 Objects.

Inspired by the exhibition A History of the World in 100 Objects, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority presents a concert entitled Artscape, taking place on June 18. Described as a three-hour marathon of art, music, puppet shows, craft, workshops and demonstrations, the event reflects the diversity of the exhibition.

A History of the World in 100 Objects enjoyed huge popularity in the UK, thanks to the hit BBC Radio 4 series that presented each exhibit in turn. The objects are drawn from across the world, covering great tracts of time, to show how humans have shaped the world, and been shaped by it.

Artscape’s live performances and workshops mix ancient and modern musical forms, including Magic Mirror by the renowned gu qin player Wu Na, contemporary artist Feng Mengbo on drums, and Wayangkulit shadow-puppetry.
