What’s On announces the arrival of Nusret in Dubai, the popular Turkish grill that will take up residency in Four Seasons Dubai, Coya, from Decemeber 2014.
The team who have helped in the development of two of Dubai’s best restaurants, Zuma and Le Petite Maison, are continuing their expansion with the arrival of ‘Nusret’, a highly-acclaimed Turkish grill.
Fresh from What’s On’s revelation that Coya is coming from London to Four Seasons Dubai, d.ream have announced their newest venture in the same hotel on Jumeirah Beach Road.
Set to open in December 2014, Nusret is in six locations across Turkey, the flagship of which is in the capital Istanbul and is popular with celebrities both regional and international.
The brainchild of butcher Nusret Gökçe, good, hearty meat is at the very core of the menu, and each piece is said to go through a personal inspection by the boss. As a result, unique dishes such as asado ribs, beef spaghetti, grilled meatballs and the ‘Nusret Special’ have gained cult followings in the homeland.
Away from the grill, there is a tartare trolley which is prepared for guests at the table.
According to information released ahead of opening, ‘diners in Dubai can expect a welcoming space with adjoining terrace for an ‘inside-out’, rustic, pared-back feel encouraging group dining and frequent interaction with the serving staff’.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten – whose self-titled restaurant in New York has three Michelin stars – would open his second and third UAE ventures on the site. Market Kitchen in Abu Dhabi, to which the Frenchman acted as a consultant, has been hailed as one of the most brilliantly unique in the capital since its opening in the first part of 2014.
Also expected at the resort is an exclusive lounge known as Provocateur Nightclub, which will welcome international DJs.
Speaking in July about the hotel as a whole, General Manager Simon Casson insisted it will be different from the usual big, brash buildings dotted around Dubai, choosing instead to be “an intimately scaled, luxurious enclave of comfort and style”.
Standing at just five stories high, he seemingly has a point. The resort spreads across 14 acres and has 237 guest rooms and suites offering either Burj Khalifa or sea views. The spa, so the hotel say, will ‘become a resort unto itself’, encompassing 706 square metres of the property.
Outside, the Four Seasons stretches out along almost 300 metres of natural beachfront, allowing for an on-site watersports facility, as well as two pools and several day villas, home to ‘super cabanas’.
