Where to be and when for the 20-minutes-long record-breaking fireworks display.

Once again the city prepares itself for a celebration unlike any other.

After having broken the world record for the largest and longest fireworks display in the world for the NYE 2014 celebrations, plans are well under way to make this year’s new year’s eve even more spectacular than ever before.

Earlier this week, Dubai Tourism revealed the timings and locations for this year’s spectacular fireworks display.

The city celebrations begin at the stroke of midnight as fireworks take off in Downtown Dubai from the iconic Burj Khalifa – where visitors can watch the show from specially allocated viewing points in Burj Park – before more fireworks set off from the Boulevard’s residential rooftops, travelling across the coast towards the Burj Al Arab for another spectacular fireworks display at approximately 12.09am.

Finally at 12.16am, the fireworks culminate at JBR, for a show stopping display lighting up Dubai Marina’s night sky.

At 20 minutes long, the Dubai fireworks extravaganza aims to become the longest fireworks display thanks to its domino-effect fireworks show.

If you’re spending New Year’s Eve at home, you can also catch the event live via mydowntowndubai.com. Live streaming will also take place on screens at Dubai Mall’s ice rink and Underwater Zoo, as well as Dubai Marina Mall lounge on level two, and at Reel Cinemas’ gigantic wall at The Beach opposite JBR.
