What happens when you take 2,000 photos of Dubai in one day and then splice them all together? This.
Happy Friday people!
To celebrate the continuing weekend and the fact that we still have days off ahead of us, here’s a gorgeous wee film from Dubai-based landscape and timelapse photographer Siddharth Prem that shows the clouds that covered the sky over the emirate last week.
Made from 2,000 raw still images, the minute-long video shows the clouds over Sheikh Zayed Road, DIFC, Jumeirah and zooming past the Burj Khalifa.
Here’s one of Prem’s earlier Instagram timelapses that show how the light pollution can add interest to passing clouds at night:
Been having some crazy #weather this week in #Dubai. Shot this timelapse few nights ago, where the light pollution really gave the #fog some interesting colors. About two hours of 600 longexposures crammed into 15seconds! . Ill be posting the high resolution version to wearestardust.smugmug.com soon .
And this phenomenal photo shows how gorgeous the stars are when you venture out into the Hatta desert:
Driving out 150km at 4am ; totally worth it! Milkyway caught above Hatta desert #astrophotography #astronomy #themilkyway #stars #cluster #constellations #desert #MyDubai #earthfocus #canon #canon_photos #longexposure #night_shooterz #CanonViewBug3 #smugmug
