Thought you were fit? Think again…

The UAE loves an endurance-style obstacle course. We’ve got the Spartan Race, the Tough Mudder, the Desert Warrior, and now we’ve got Sandstorm DXB…

Sandstorm DXB took place in Al Qudra over the weekend, and featured a five-kilometre ‘sprint’ race as well as the longer 10-kilometre ‘endurance’ option.

With over 40 obstacles, the event was held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

Over 3,000 UAE residents came down to take part in the challenge. The set-up? Beastly (click to play)…

The male and female winners of the event will go on to compete in the 2017 Obstacle Course Racing World Championships this October in Canada.

While he didn’t win the race, Sheikh Hamdan took part himself (how cool), and he gave it a seriously good go…

It wasn’t all running about and jumping over things, no. The course required some heavy lifting too…
