Welcome to the world of Kokpar: an ancient nomadic game from Kazakhstan that involves two teams competing to carry a headless goat carcass – which must weigh exactly 66lbs – over a goal line. In 66lbs, artist Said Atabekov brings the game back to life through photographs, video and installations.

2. Everything Must Go

Hailing from London, Sophia Al Mara is a young artist keen to take on the controversies causing friction in the Gulf. Everything Must Go is a new version of Al Mara’s celebrated Black Friday exhibition, which was on show at The Whitney Museum Of American Art in 2016, and tackles the chaotic act of consuming, and feelings of confusion and pandemonium that underlie an illusion of order.

Six illuminated, monochromatic mobiles are the focal point of French artist Damien Bénéteau’s new exhibition. Bénéteau creates sleek kinetic art that plays with light, is continually moving and is created by milling, polishing and metal turning machines. Two of his pieces feature pendulums paired with lights to create a trio of visual phenomena.

Where is your home? And what happens when it is lost? Those are the questions artist Helen Teede explores in her new exhibition. Zimbabwe born and bred, Teede goes through the process of leaving her home permanently and recreates her experience as art. Delve into a deeply personal journey of loss, dislocation and identity.

5. Write Injuries On Sand And Kindness In Marble

Green Art Gallery is reincarnated as its former self, a marble factory, for Turkish artist Hera Büyüktaşçıyan’s exploration of labour and productivity. Büyüktaşçıyan reflects on the long-forgotten fingerprints of the marble workers, and the invisible builders whose hands shape the social, urban and historical landscape.
