Our top pick of the movies out in cinemas this week is Cars 3, the latest installment in Pixar’s lovable race car franchise.

Cars 3

The lovable stars of Pixar’s race car franchise are back. This time round, Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) is dealing with being overtaken (literally) by younger, snazzier and faster cars. After Lightning loses a big race to Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer), he’s taken under the wing of Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo)who’s determined to help the classic car stage the comeback of a lifetime.

Voice from the Stone

If you can’t wait until the return of Game of Thrones to get your Khaleesi fix, check out Emilia Clarke in this dark, gothic thriller. Clarke plays Verena, a nurse whose sent to look after mute young boy, living with his widowed father in an isolated castle in Tuscany. It quickly becomes clear that there’s more to her spooky surroundings than meets the eye.

Outlaws and Angels

A good-old fashioned spaghetti western in the style of The Hateful Eight or The Proposition, this violent drama is not for the faint of heart. Chad Michael Murray (remember him, One Tree Hill fans?) is the leader of a violent gang, who infiltrate the house of a seemingly nice family, but as time goes on, it becomes harder and harder to tell who the bad guys really are. Luke Wilson leads the bounty hunters determined to bring the criminals to justice.
