We’ll race you there…

We’ve known about the opening of Marks and Spencer’s first dedicated food store in Dubai since April. But the scheduled opening date in July came and went, and we’ve been patiently waiting for its arrival ever since.

And now, it’s finally open in Marina Walk.

The Middle East’s only dedicated Marks and Spencer food store carries around 2000 items and also comes complete with Dubai’s second M&S cafe (the first is in the Festival City branch). That’s our new weekend breakfast spot sorted then.

British expats will now be able to get their hands on some of their most loved treats from the store’s sweet, savoury and takeaway selection (M&S chocolate pudding we’re looking at you).

While the city already has its fair share of M&S department stores (there are seven located at various malls throughout Dubai), this is the first time one is solely dedicated to bringing the large selection of the chain’s signature foodstuff to the region.

“Whether expanding our chilled food offer or introducing new lines to our Café menus, we’re constantly looking at ways to bring our tempting food products for our customers to enjoy. The new format we’ve unveiled today gives us the opportunity to extend our reach across Dubai and offer our customers the quality food and drink they love, in new convenient locations like Marina Walk,” said James Harvey, Marks & Spencer Head of International Franchise.

The store will be open from 8am to 10pm Sunday to Wednesday, and 9am to midnight Thursday to Saturday.
