A new beachfront hotspot, a truffle menu at a JBR Italian and a revamp for a Dubai classic…

From wallet-friendly dinner deals perfect for pairs, to unique dining experiences you wouldn’t get anywhere else, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to dining out in Dubai.

And if you’re looking for somewhere fresh to head to this weekend, we’ve rounded up three spots we reckon you won’t want to miss out on.

From a new opening at one of our favourite new beachfront destinations, La Mer, to a seasonal menu at a JBR Italian that’s all about truffle, to a revamp for a Mediterranean spot in Emirates Hills, here are three restaurants to dine at this weekend.

The brand new: Slab

Adding to an already impressive list of casual-cool eateries in La Mer, Slab has just opened at the waterfront destination. It’s got a an international menu of dishes inspired by all corners of the world, and the restaurant describes that it ‘combines elements of a fine dining restaurant but in a relaxed contemporary setting’. The open-plan space has an open kitchen and exposed preparation counters where guests can see their food being made.

Slab, La Mer, Jumeirah 1, daily 10am to 12am. Tel: (04) 298 8899. Facebook.com/SLAB

The seasonal menu: BiCE

BiCE, the casual Italian eatery in the Hilton on The Walk has just launched their new winter black truffle menu. Available until mid-February, it’s four courses of truffle-based dishes including homemade ravioli, stuffed with Castelmagno cheese topped with shaved black winter truffle and a white chocolate sphere filled with truffle-flavoured dark chocolate mousse and berry coulis. The set menu is priced at Dhs595 per person, or dishes can be ordered individually.

BiCE, Hilton JBR, daily 12.30pm to 3.30pm and 7pm to 11.30pm. Tel: (04) 318 2520. Facebook.com/BiCEdubai

The revamp: Nineteen at The Address Montgomerie

Nineteen, located at the lobby level of The Address Montgomerie has just reopened in Emirates Hills after a refurb. Chef De Cuisine of Nineteen, Giuliano Berta, brings to the menu a fresh new Mediterranean concept featuring dishes such as roasted hokkaido scallops, summer salads, beef tenderloin and traditional tiramisu. It’s an airy, contemporary space, with an a la carte menu designed to be shared.
