A new menu at a beachfront hotspot, Dubai’s biggest burger lands in City Walk, and a hidden gem in Barsha Heights…

From wallet-friendly dinner deals perfect for pairs, to unique dining experiences you wouldn’t get anywhere else, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to dining out in Dubai.

And if you’re looking for somewhere fresh to head to this weekend, we’ve rounded up three spots we reckon you won’t want to miss out on.

From a new menu at a beachfront hotspot with some top-notch dishes, to a City Walk spot that’s just launched the biggest burger in the city and a super-cool cocktail club with a neat menu, here are three restaurants to dine at this weekend.

The brand new: Barbary Deli + Cocktail Club

While BarBary may serve up some killer cocktails (it’s quickly becoming the go-to spot for Barsha Heights residents), there’s a very good menu to get your teeth into as well. The ‘deli’ kitchen features a menu of deli counter favourites, as well as some heartier dishes masterminded by rising star chef Rob Rathbone. Expect to find a variety of premium cured meats, market salads, bread & dips and sandwiches, alongside a raw bar and grill options including beef short rib and roast chicken.

Barbary, TRYP by Wyndham, Barsha Heights, daily 12pm to 12am. Tel: (04) 247 6688. barbary.ae

The new menu: Cove Beach

Famed for launching the ladies’ day concept, there’s more reasons to head to Jumeirah beach club and lounge Cove Beach now thanks to their new menu. The restaurant space opens up into the lounge and down to the beach, so you feel like your right on the shorefront. And the menu reflects this, it’s centrally Mediterranean, with a strong emphasis on seafood, but there’s also a dedicated sushi section that’s perfect for a lighter lunch. It’s a great menu to be shared, from salads to raw options, but it’s the cooked-to-perfection steak you’ll find us heading back for again and again…

Cove Beach, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Jumeirah, daily 11am to late. Tel: (800) 2683. covebeach.com

The record breaking burger: Graze

The City Walk grill Graze has a new menu for the new year that’s dedicated to the meat lovers. The standout has to be the ‘Half Meter Surprise’; a 50cm long burger train. As well as four beef patties, it’s stuffed with lettuce, tomato, pickles, chimichurri mayo, Cheddar & Gruyère cheeses, guacamole, barbecue sauce and beef bacon. Face it on your own, or share it with a mate – it’s Dhs200.

La Ville Hotel and Suites, City Walk, 6pm to 11pm Sat to Thurs, 1pm to 11pm Fri. Tel: (054) 309 5948 livelaville.com.
