This is seriously cool…

The world’s tallest building has lit up for a lot of special events in its time – like New Year’s Eve, and national day celebrations. But we don’t think we’ve ever seen it light up for a movie before.

This week, the Burj Khalifa is counting down to the release of Avengers: Infinity War, which will hit cinemas on April 26.

The film, which is based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, boasts a ridiculously star-studded cast, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, and more.

Every night this week, the Burj will light up in celebration of the upcoming film at 7.50pm. The special Avengers-themed projection looks appropriately epic:

Plus, if you share a photo or video of the projections to social media with the hashtag #InfinityWarwithEmaar, you’ll go in the draw to win free tickets to see the film at Reel Cinemas in The Dubai Mall. So that’s pretty cool, too.

The Burj Khalifa earned itself a new Guinness World Record this year with its New Year’s Eve laser and light show titled ‘Light Up 2018’.

It holds the record for the largest laser, light and sound show on a single structure.
