Emirates English Speaking School (EESS) in Al Safa is to close down after 30 years of teaching students.

Known as one of Dubai’s more affordable schools, the CBSE-curriculum school currently teaches over 1,500 students from kindergarten up to Grade 12. The last batch of students will graduate from the school in March 2019, with the school working to find alternative schools for its current students.

A circular was issued to all parents informing them of the news last week.

“It is difficult to attract quality staff given the low fee structure. We want to ensure the highest quality of education for our kids as we have in the last 30 years, but it has become difficult to achieve that balance” Khaleel Shubair, administration manager at EESS told Gulf News.

One of Dubai’s longer-serving schools, the Al Safa institution has passed more than 10,000 students over it’s impressive 30-years.
