Sierra Burgess Is A Loser – September 7

Stranger Things fans will be happy to see Shannon Purser (aka the ill-fated Barb) enjoying a far more, erm, typical high school experience in this modern retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac, which sees her character, the nerdy Sierra, joining forces with the most popular girl in school in a bid to win over her crush.

Atypical (Season 2) – September 7

The heartfelt comedy series about a teenage boy on the autism spectrum makes its return. The first season followed Sam Gardner (Keir Gilchrist) as he navigated school, dating, and other tribulations of teenage life, while in the second season we can expect to see him in his senior year, preparing for his next big step.

Daniel Sloss: Live Shows – September 11

Scottish funnyman Daniel Sloss is one of the UK’s most successful young comedians – at the age of 19, he became the youngest ever comedian to perform a solo season in London’s West End. The 28-year-old presents two of his standup shows, DARK and Jigsaw, in this Netflix special.

Maniac – September 21

Emma Stone and Jonah Hill (who starred together in Superbad) reunite for this creepy new series, which follows two strangers who find themselves caught up in a bizarre pharmaceutical trial. Based on the trailer alone, we can already tell this is going to be the binge-watch of the month.

Nappily Ever After – September 21

Control freak Violet Jones seems to have the perfect life – good job, nice boyfriend, great hair – until it all starts to unravel, culminating in a dramatic haircut that gives “new hair, new you” a whole new meaning. This movie is directed by Saudi Arabia’s first female film director, Haifaa al-Mansour.

Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father (Season 2) – September 28

English comedian Jack Whitehall returns for a second season of gallivanting around the globe with his hilariously pompous father. This season will see them tackle the Bavarian Alps, Istanbul, Budapest, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine.
