And yes, we do know that evening brunches are technically just dinners, but most people still for some reason call it brunch: it’s just one of those quirks of Dubai life.

Daily: Evening brunch at Publique

Publique, the Alpine-themed restaurant in the Madinat Jumeirah, has just launched a new evening brunch that will take place every night of the week. The new brunch goes from 8pm to 11pm, and costs Dhs295 for a minimum booking of six guests. A selection of starters will be served directly to the table, each guest can then choose a main of their choice, including cheese raclette to share, and wash it down with unlimited house beverages.

Daily: Frevo

There’s nothing like a churrascaria. Frevo’s version whips you off to a beach in Rio without you having to leave your table. Sample succulent fall-off-the-skewer meats served tableside the traditional way. Want to know the best thing? It happens every day.

Sunday: The Midnight Brunch Dinner Show at Cavalli

Perfect for those that love an evening of glitz and glamour (and being out late on a Sunday), Cavalli’s Sunday night brunch involves live singing and dancing, unlimited starters and desserts, a choice of a la carte main and a polarising “no effort, no entry” policy (basically they mean you need to dress up to get in). The party carries on until 3am too.

Priced at Dhs250 per person, Ramusake’s new Monday night dinner party treats guests to unlimited sushi rolls as well as unlimited sake for three hours kicking off at 7pm until 10pm. On the menu, there’s a range of sushi dishes, from the crab-based California and Spider rolls, to spicy tuna and seared salmon.

At STK Downtown, located in the recently reopened Address Downtown, a Wednesday evening brunch runs from 9pm to 12am, with an after party running until the early hours. Called the Backroom Brunch, it’s filled with signature STK dishes such as beef tartare alongside some more Dubai dishes like oysters and Burrata to start, followed by a choice of fillet or striploin stake for main (there’s veggie options too) with their famed mac n cheese and a choice of dessert.

At this midweek evening brunch, there’s unlimited food and drinks on offer, an open-mic stlye sing-a-long where guests can take to the stage all night long. Even the karaoke shy will find themselves belting out a few tunes on the inflatable microphones.

Solo For The Soul sees pop soul singer Nya Crea performing every Wednesday. Serving freshly made Italian favourites in a sharing menu that includes antipasti dishes, and mains such as the slow-cooked veal cheek with truffle mashed potato fondue or pasta served tableside in a Parmesan wheel, this is one hearty meal. This Texan-inspired BBQ brunch serves succulent steaks and ocean-fresh seafood from ten live cooking stations. There are also mixed drinks and live entertainment, making this a great choice from which to kickstart the weekend. Plus there’s cowboys, a smoking grill and even a popcorn machine.

Love Parties, the party people behind the sellout Friday brunches We Brunch and Hidden, are back with a brand new brunch, and this one is on a Thursday. There’s drinks for Dhs30 from 4pm to 8pm, before the brunch packages kicks in at 8pm. Expect a typical feast of Pizza Express pizzas and sides, served up to acoustic sets.
