Make plans accordingly…

To mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), there will be a dry night in Dubai.

An official communication issued by the Department of Tourism and Commerce has highlighted that Dubai will be dry from 5pm on Monday November 19 until 6pm on Tuesday November 20. So really, the dry night is a dry day.

During this period, no alcohol will served across all outlets, including hotels, across Dubai.

Both the public and private sectors will have Sunday November 18 off, making it a three-day weekend for those with a typical Sunday to Thursday work week.

What about holidays for the rest of the year?

Also coming up at the end of this month is Commemoration Day on November 30. As this is a Friday, it’s unlikely we’ll get a day off for this holiday.

However, we also have UAE National Day to look forward to, which is held on December 2 every year. The UAE government has announced that all workers will have Sunday December 2 and Monday December 3 off to celebrate this holiday.
