The picturesque beachside hideaway comes complete with an antipasti room and stunning rooftop…

Looking to dine by the beach this week? Then you need to check out Villamore, which has just opened its doors on The Palm Jumeirah.

The stunning Mediterranean spot, found in Emerald Palace Kempsinski, is perched on the beachfront of the hotel, and the split level restaurant and rooftop boasts some stunning views out across the ocean and Dubai skyline.

Described as a ‘beachside hideaway offering laid back luxury’, Villamore is a chic space decked out in whitewashed and nautical interiors designed to transport you out of Dubai and straight to the Mediterranean.

Open from midday until 2am daily, the restaurant will serve up dishes influenced by Italy, the French Riviera and beyond – and the rooftop might just be our new go-to place for sunset aperitivo.

Upon entering, guests are guided past a walk-in antipasti room, where they can handpick an array of cured meats, cold seafood, salads and cheeses.

There’s a choice of both indoor and outdoor seating for dining, as well as the option to dine on the open-air rooftop terrace.

On the menu, expect Dibba Oysters shucked to order, spaghetti vongole with clams, garlic and olive oil and a traditional seafood paella. There’s a big focus on seafood, with a whole seabass cooked in salt crust and the black ‘Risotto Nero filled with octopus and squid both signature dishes. Not much of a seafood fan? Opt for the 1kg  porterhouse steak.

Villamore is one of eight just-opened restaurants in the new Emerald Palace Kempinski hotel, opening alongside Venetian restaurant all’Onda, and miX Dubai, by acclaimed chef Alain Ducasse.
