From neighbourhood pubs to party hard clubs…

Gearing up for the end of dry January? You’ll need some new hotspots to hit then, so as February approaches, we’ve rounded up five of the city’s best new offerings that need to be on your radar.

Here are 5 brand new bars in Dubai to check out.

The London Project

Found right under Ain Dubai you’ll find The London Project, a split-level restaurant and bar that’s just opened its doors. Inspired by ‘the form of a living tree’, The London Project is a garden-inspired space, completely kitted out with colourful artworks, leafy foliage and exotic flowers. As well as being a social space, the Gin Garden will also house its own gin distillery, producing The London Project gin. On the bar shelves, you’ll also be able to find specially selected craft beers, including a selection from London’s first craft brewery, Meantime.

The London Project, Bluewaters, off JBR, Dubai Marina, now open. thelondonproject.com

Skorpeus

The dark-hued Skorpeus bar is tucked away inside the Emerald Palace Kempinski hotel on The Palm. The 148-seater space is open daily from 6pm until late, and has both high leather bar stools and cushy crushed velvet lounge seating.

Skyland

Dubai Marina’s got a brand new rooftop watering hole thanks to the arrival of Skyland, one of a number of new restaurants and bars just opened in the Stella Di Mare hotel. Found on the 31st floor, we’re expecting some seriously impressive views from this new spot.

Drai’s

Drai’s made the transition from daytime party place to late-night superclub last month, and if it’s a big night you’re after, they don’t come much bigger. Open twice a week – with two excellent ladies’ night deals, ladies can enjoy unlimited free drinks all night long on ‘Taste’ Tuesdays, while they’re treated to complimentary beverages until 1am on Fridays. Fridays is their dedicated urban night, where you’ll often be able to catch a rapper headlining.

Hoxton

Occupying the space left behind by Axe House, Hoxton is described as an urban bar and eatery and opens daily from noon until 2am. The same urban, graffitied interiors, neon red signs and a games area called ‘The Den’ all still appear to remain unchanged. We’re also looking forward to finding out how many, if any, changes have been made to the menu. The new gastropub is already advertising a weekly set menu from 2pm to 2am daily priced at Dhs125.

Hoxton Dubai, Armada Bluebay Hotel,Cluster P, JLT, daily 12pm to 2am, now open. Tel: (04) 395 8888. Facebook.com/HoxtonDubai
